Q - Do I need a phone line ?
A - No you do not. We offer several types of cellular devices to call out on. They work on the Verizon network. In most all cases a cellular device is better than a land line because it can not be cut. Plus costs as low as $10 per month is much cheaper than your traditional phone lines.
Q - Can I turn my security system on with my smart phone?
A - Yes you can. We offer alarm.com and alarmdealer.com Both apps are easy to use and can operate your system anywhere you can get phone service.
Q - Do you offer Home Automation?
A - One of our newest lines is 2gig powered by alarm.com. We have found this to be a very simple and easy to use system. Yet lets you start with the basic system and gives you the ability to grow into a fully automated home or business.
With a smart phone and or a computer you can:
Turn your security system on or off
Get text message or pushed notifications when there is an alarm or a trouble.
Check to see who has turned the system on or off and what time.
Turn lights on or off
Adjust the thermostat up or down
Open the garage door
Lock or unlock the doors
Q - Do your alarm systems have fire protection?
A - In most all cases we can add fire protection. For the home owner we offer that if you pay us for the smoke detectors that we'll install them with no extra monthly fee. Most companies charge extra for that.
Q - Do you offer low temperature?
A - Nothing worse than coming home to frozen water lines. Temperature sensors can be added to let you know when your house goes below a set level.
Q - What about our sump pump?
A - People with sump pumps that fail can have their basements flood in minutes. A water bug can be added to you security system to warn you when the pump is failing and water is rising.
Q - Can we get a carbon monoxide detector?
A - This odorless gas is a silent killer. Carbon Monoxide detectors come in both hardwire and wireless for easy install.
Q - How much is my security system going to cost me?
A - This all could vary on how big your place is and how much you need. Our basic package is Two door contacts, one motion detector, keypad, panel, inside siren and battery back up installed in your home or business for only $99.00.
Q - How much is the monitoring on my security system going to cost me?
A - We try to keep our monitoring prices low and simple to understand. Our 24 hour monitoring for home or business is $16.00 per month. Our cellular back up is an additional $14.00 per month which includes the smart phone app. Complete home automation with 24 hour monitoring and app is $35.00 per month.
Q - I have a security system from someone else. What can I do?
A - No problem. So long as your not in a contract we can take over for the same low price as we charge everyone else. In most cases we can use all or most of the equipment that you have already paid for. Why keep paying higher monitoring rates when you can pay less?
Q - Why is Central Ohio Security's monitoring lower than others ?
A - Because we choose to. It is that simple. Monitoring companies all charge the alarm companies about the same per month for each customer. We the alarm company can charge the customer any price we like. We at Central Ohio Security choose not to make a lot of money off of each customer but do choose to make a little off of each one. This has been working for us over 30 years and the reason we are a strong and growing company.
Q - Can we buy all our locks and have them keyed with the same key?
A - Yes we sell our locks keyed alike, different or to your key at no extra charge. This includes residential, commercial and even padlocks.
Q - We lost the key to our home, can you help?
A - Yes we have a well stocked truck for most entry locksets.
Q - Do you come to our place or do we have to come to you?
A - We have both a walk in shop and a service truck. Most find that it's not much more to have us come out and do the job.
